TWYNETTE SOLOMON
PRESIDENT

Twynette Solomon, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, has dedicated over 15 years to serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex community. As a Fort Worth Metropolitan YMCA board member and an integral member of the organization's philanthropy committee, Solomon has demonstrated her commitment to improving the lives of those around her.

Solomon has faced her share of challenges and setbacks and understands many women’s struggles. Her journey has fueled her passion to empower and support others in overcoming their obstacles. Through her involvement in various initiatives, Solomon has assisted numerous individuals in the homeless community in their efforts to rebuild and improve their lives.

Compelled by a heart for service and a deep passion for helping others heal and thrive, Solomon founded The Making of The Pearl Foundation—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization inspired by a message from Dr. Myles Munroe on the profound value of the pearl. What began as a mission to uplift women overcoming trauma has evolved into a broader calling: to walk alongside women, men, and children facing hardship and help them rediscover their strength, purpose, and dignity.

Solomon’s vision for The Making of The Pearl Foundation is rooted in her belief that every individual holds innate value, no matter their past. Whether someone is overcoming domestic violence, incarceration, homelessness, or the emotional wounds of trauma, she believes that—with compassionate support and opportunity—they can emerge stronger, just like a pearl formed through adversity. Her leadership continues to inspire transformational growth, offering safe spaces, life skills, and mentorship to those who need it most.

In May 2024, Solomon was honored with the Birdville ISD Helping Hands Award and was selected as a speaker for the 2024 Birdville ISD Transportation Inservice. She finds joy in bowling, community outreach, and traveling, and sponsors a child in Honduras through her church, Hillside Community Church. Known locally as an “accident-free” bus driver, she proudly serves local school districts and is a devoted mother of five, guided by the belief that structure and love at home build the foundation for strong families.

In addition to her nonprofit work, Solomon has been running her business, Tweets Treats, for over a decade—offering edible arrangements and styled dessert tables. She’s especially proud of her signature caramel recipe that delights sweet tooths without sticking to your teeth.

Looking ahead, Solomon envisions The Making of The Pearl Foundation owning dedicated property to provide transitional housing, healing spaces, and program support for those seeking a fresh start. Within ten years, she hopes to expand this vision into multiple states—creating a lasting legacy of restoration and empowerment across the country.
